People were screaming and crying with pain
As young innocent victims got killed in vain
As the towers collapsed people gasped with sorrow
Knowing those towers wouldn't be there tomorrow
People were rescued and brought up to ground
Lying underneath rubble, and some still not found.
The day still continued but someone's life changed
It was your neighbors, but yours just the same
Some went to church more and called out his name
And some acted strangely and didn't know who to blame
As the American flag waves yet today
Nothing can ruin us so try if you may.
